Natural deodorant: the aluminium-salt-free section

This section brings together the shop's deodorants formulated without aluminium salts: creams in a jar, solid sticks, roll-ons and tahara deodorants. Let us say it straight away: a deodorant works on odour, it does not reduce how much you sweat.

• Creams in a jar taken with a fingertip, with no propellant and no mechanism.

• Solid sticks and roll-ons, for anyone who would rather not touch the product.

• Formulas without aluminium salts, a statement carried on every label.

• A range of scents: fruity, fresh floral, musk, black seed, red berries, peach, oud.

• Travel sizes and family sizes, to compare on each product page.

Chérie and Fraîcheur, two scents

The Chérie cream deodorant plays a cherry note, clearly fruity on application.

The Fraîcheur cream deodorant plays a white-flower note, fresh to the nose and not cold on the skin.

• External use only, on the skin of the underarms. These products are not to be swallowed.

• Patch-test on the inner elbow 24 hours before first use, particularly if your skin reacts easily.

• Do not apply on damaged or irritated skin, or straight after shaving or waxing.

• Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

• Keep out of reach of children. Stop using them if redness, tingling or itching occurs.

• These are cosmetics, not medicines. With persistent discomfort under the arms, speak to a healthcare professional.

Does an aluminium-free deodorant stop you sweating?

No, none of them. A deodorant works on odour; it is the antiperspirant, with its aluminium salts, that acts on how much sweat comes out.

Which format: cream, stick or roll-on?

The cream is dosed with a fingertip and empties to the bottom, the stick asks for nothing to clean, the roll-on is the quickest gesture. It is a matter of habit, not of effectiveness.

How long does it take to adjust?

It is best judged over a few days of use: how long it lasts depends on your skin, the season and your activity, not on the product alone.

Does it mark clothes?

Not if you let the product sink in for a minute before getting dressed and use only a small amount.

Can it be used after shaving?

Better to wait twenty-four hours. On freshly shaved or waxed skin, a deodorant can sting.
